Story
Faith has been training Cyrene for a little more than a month now. Catsy's training is going very well, they entered 2 shows already, they started jumping and everything is looking good. But Cyrene.. it's meh. Faith has some problems handling the young mare. They still mostly do dressage, and jumping is nothing more than trotting poles and little crossrails. When no one's looking, though. Faith doesn't want anyone to see she can't get this very promising and talentful (as the other staff describe her) over a simple crossrail without rearing and fighting. So she usually gets up before feeding time to be sure no one's around, when she decides take on the jumping challenge again.. Virginia said that the tendency to refuse jumps at each little mistake the rider makes could become a problem, and told Faith to ask for help I that would be the case. However Faith is too proud to admit it, scared she won't get to ride Cyrene anymore, scared she'll get back to riding easy horses because the staff doesn't trust her with more 'advanced' horses. So it's just dressage, dressage and dressage over again because Faith doesn't even want to admit their problems to herself, tries to run away from it. Cyrene is starting to get protest more and more during trainings - sure, she's pretty good at dressage, but she has eventing blood in her and misses the jumping and cross country part. When she once again fights against her rider's aids, Faith just sighs and tells herself they'll try jumping again the next day. The following morning, however, she gets nervous and once again they just do a few dressage exercises.
