Story

    Kinda previous: New challenges

Faith felt confident about herself lately. Cyrene was definitely a boost; she felt that the other staff trusted her, saw that she improved and thought that she would be able to handle Cyrene's training all by herself. What she didn't know, was that it was quite the opposite. Sean wasn't optimistic about the idea, at all, but didn't tell her. 'Could only make it worse', was what he told Virginia. The older sister stood next to the tender, black mare, mounted by Faith. Both rider and horse were focused on the pair in the show arena, almost at the end of their dressage test; they were next. Virginia gazed into the distance though. Sean's firm warnings were haunting her all the time, even now. Her eyes focused on Catsy's green grace, softly moving with the wind. The mare's coat was warm, still glowing after the warm up. Virginia had mixed feelings about this show. Normally she would be the one to encourage Faith, believe in her little sister. But she just couldn't this time, even though this wasn't Cyrene. Catsy was way older, had a much calmer personality.. yet Virginia saw this as another challenge. 'If they get a bad placement now, Sean won't trust her at all anymore', it was going on and on in her head. The announcer snapped her out of her thoughts. "The next horse is Sweet Catastrophe, mounted by Faith Greenfield. This pair represents Rosenhill Farm at this show today, let's.." Virginia didn't pay attention anymore and looked up to the rider next to her. "Good luck!" Faith smiled and gently took up the reins, just as the mare liked it; calm and gentle. The music started and the pair entered the arena in a rhythmic trot, leaving Virginia alone with her thoughts.
